Hypnotherapy for Panic Attacks

By Lizzie South

Using hypnotherapy to cure panic attacks may not cure you 100% from attacks, but there is suggestion that this method can work for you as the recovery rate is extremely good.

When you have experienced a panic attack it may be in an obvious situation. Once you have had one in that situation it is very likely that you will have another one in the same situation due to the anxiety you will experience before. This is called pre-anxiety. You are creating an awful cycle that will be had to break, the attack feeds upon itself until you find help with breaking the cycle.

Experiencing one panic attack can have disastrous affects on your normal day to day life. The trigger of the first one can be ranging from anything, but usually it is a lot down to stress. Causes are:

Emotional distress
Exposure to a dangerous situation
Poor nutrition
Either physical or emotional stress

Hypnotherapy works with both the conscious mind and unconscious one. The hypnotherapy will treat the conscious mind by trying to determine what is the trigger and cause for the panic attacks. They will talk to you to help you come to turns with what is bothering you. From what they learn they will help change your behavior patterns and control your thoughts that cause the panic attack. You will learn how your mind works more and how you on your own can overcome attacks by understanding your mind structure patterns and how to change the habits into more positive ones.

By hypnosis your unconscious mind is treated by suggestions and metaphors. This is to ensure your conscious treatment becomes engraved in your unconscious mind . Your reactions will then be instinct, a positive reaction to the situation that used to give you attacks rather than you trying to fight against yourself.

The information and treatment will be different for everybody but I would advise looking into hypnotherapy as a treatment if you suffer from attacks. Above is just some basic information on hypnotherapy for panic attacks, I would advise you seek out your nearest hypnotherapist and ask their advise. You may be aware of what incident has caused the attack, this is usually the first time you had the attack, but you would still benefit from learning how to break the thought process. Whatever treatment plan you choose to take I hope you consider hypnotherapy for panic attacks. - 30415
